America’s Service Club
The Exchange Club of Greater Huntsville, America’s
Service Club, is a group of men and women working together to make their
communities better places through local programs of service in Americanism,
Community Service, Youth Activities, and its national project, the
Prevention of Child Abuse.
The Exchange Club of Greater Huntsville has been serving
the Huntsville-Madison County area for more than 45 years through a variety
of programs and events. The Exchange club presents "Freedom Shrines" in the
community, mostly to area schools. This is a display of 29 authentic
reproductions of some of our country’s most significant documents.
Also, The Exchange Club of Greater Huntsville sponsors an
annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Banquet to honor law enforcement
personnel. Its One Nation Under God program brings attention to the history
of the American flag and the Pledge of Allegiance.
The organization recognizes those in the community who
have given their time and talent to important causes. The Book of Golden
Deeds recognition is awarded to deserving people who have made significant
contributions in the community and have not been recognized for their
efforts. The Proudly We Hail Award is given to individuals for properly
displaying the flag.
With supporting the cause to prevent child abuse, The
Exchange Club of Greater Huntsville works in connection with the SCAN
program at The National Child Advocacy Center to help with year-round
activities to prevent child abuse.
A yearly event The Exchange Club of Greater Huntsville
sponsors is the upcoming 43rd annual Independence Day Program and
fireworks show. Location and time for this July 4th show can be
referenced via the web site or e-mail information given below. This show is
a fantastic fireworks display and is the major fundraiser for its projects.
The Exchange Club is proud of its programs and is glad to
uplift and promote the Huntsville community. The Club members meet twice
monthly and are open to visitors.
