United Way of Madison County and Partners Offer Free Tax Preparation and Filing through C.A.S.H. Program. United Way of Madison County in partnership with AARP and Impact Alabama continues our third year of the CASH, Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope, program. CASH offers free tax preparation services to families with household incomes less than $49,000. CASH was formed to help these families in several ways. First, free tax preparation saves each family an average of $200 in fees. Second, many families do not know they are eligible for tax credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit. Third, the CASH program helps families receive their refunds fast so that refund anticipation loans with high interest rates can be avoided. The CASH program is implemented by volunteers and supervised by United Way of Madison County staff. Volunteers attended in depth training on tax preparation processes. CASH Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.; Wednesday 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Call – 1-888-99-TAX-AL (1-888-998-2925) for an appointment. Most renters don’t realize landlord’s insurance covers only the building & not tenants’ possessions. For about the price of a dinner out per month, you can protect all of your valuables. Renters insurance protects personal belongings from fire, theft, vandalism, & water. Coverage is available to cover the renter if a guest is injured while in the apartment or if the policyholder or family member causes damage to another property. Renters insurance also covers reasonable increases in certain living expenses necessary to maintain your normal standard of living, for up to 12 months, if a covered loss makes your residence uninhabitable. Show and Sell Home Staging. The softening Real Estate market is increasing homeowner demands for ways to help with the sale of their homes. Home Staging has become one such tool. By properly cleaning, de-cluttering and preparing a house before it is listed on the market, homeowners have a better chance of selling their home at or above list price. Show and Sell Home Staging is providing sellers with the knowledge and tools needed to showcase their homes for that quick sale. Spring is just around the corner, so to have your home ASP® Staged - please contact Gwynne Ebert at (256) 325-4263 or visit our web site at www.ShowandSellHomeStaging.com
The Alabama Reel Medic. Whether you are a recreational angler or a full time tournament angler, you will find that cleaning, tuning, and lubrication are key to your fishing reel’s peak performance. Without maintenance, a layer of old grease and dirt will build up on the inside of your reel and cause rust which will damage your reel. David Giudice, at The Alabama Reel Medic services include reel cleaning, repair, tuning, and upgrades. It is my sincere pleasure in being a part of you catching that lunker of a life time or getting that valuable tournament win. E-MAIL: David@Alabamareelmedic.com www.AlabamaReelMedic.com
